Privacy Policy

Giant Mind holds the things you want to remember, so how we treat them matters more than the usual policy. Four commitments come first, and the rest of this page explains how we keep them.

We never sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to model trainers.
Everything is encrypted. In transit and at rest, including anything committed to permanent storage.
You control who sees what. Sharing is per memory and always your call.
Permanent means permanent. Only the memories you deliberately commit are written to Arweave.

1. What we collect

Account details you give us, such as name, email, and billing information. Content you import or save, including notes, documents, images, audio, and the details attached to them. Data read from sources you connect, used to answer your questions and build your graph. Usage data such as device, browser, and which features you use, so we can keep the service working. We do not use third party advertising trackers.

2. How we use it

To run Giant Mind for you: to store your memories, connect them into your graph, answer your questions with their sources, and share what you choose to share. To keep the service secure and reliable. To support you when you contact us. To bill you. That is the list.

3. Model training

We do not train models on your content for other customers, and we do not hand your content to third parties to train theirs. Where a third party model provider processes a query to produce your answer, they do so under contract as our processor, with no right to retain or train on it.

4. Connected sources

You choose which sources to connect and we request the narrowest access that makes the feature work, usually read only. Disconnect a source at any time and we stop reading from it. Where a provider requires it, such as Google, we follow their limited use rules: data from those APIs is used only to provide features you asked for, is never sold, and is never used for advertising.

5. Encryption and security

Content is encrypted in transit and at rest. Memories committed to Arweave are encrypted before they leave our systems, so the public record is unreadable without the keys. Access to production systems is limited to staff who need it, logged, and reviewed. No system is perfectly secure, and if a breach affects you we will tell you promptly.

6. Sharing and teams

Nothing is shared by default. When you share a memory with a person or team, they can read it until you remove access, and anything they already read cannot be unread. On team plans, an administrator may control memories saved in shared team spaces.

7. Who else touches your data

We use a small set of service providers to operate Giant Mind, including cloud hosting, model inference, payment processing, and error monitoring. Each is bound by contract to process data only on our instructions. We will keep a current list available on request. We do not disclose your content to anyone else unless you ask us to or the law requires it, and we will notify you of a legal demand unless we are prohibited from doing so.

8. Deletion, and what permanence means

You can delete any memory or your whole account. Deleting removes it from your account and from our systems, and we destroy the keys we hold for it. If a memory was committed to Arweave, the encrypted record itself stays on that public network permanently and cannot be recalled by you, by us, or by anyone. Destroying the keys is what makes it unreadable. Commit deliberately.

9. Retention

We keep your content while your account is open. After you close it we keep a short wind down window so you can export or return, then delete. Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Content read live from a connected source to answer a question is not retained beyond what that answer needs unless you save it as a memory.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, a portable export, or object to certain processing. You can do most of this yourself in settings, or write to us and we will handle it. You will never be charged or downgraded for exercising a privacy right.

11. Where data is processed

Giant Mind is operated from the United States, and your data may be processed there and in other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we use standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard for international transfers.

12. Children

Giant Mind is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

13. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will notify you before it takes effect and keep earlier versions available.
