Why does Save forever cost a credit?

Writing an encrypted copy at a permanent address is paid once. Giant Mind buys those writes in advance, so each plan comes with a number of forever saves.

What is one credit?

One Save forever credit covers a memory up to 25 MB. A larger file uses more credits. Nothing over 100 MB.

What happens if I cancel?

Nothing you saved forever goes anywhere. Your library stays readable, your forever saves still open, and you can download your key file whenever you like, before or after you cancel. The only thing that stops is saving new memories forever.

Is the permanent copy a subscription?

No. Writing the encrypted copy is paid once. The copy stays at the address. Giant Mind holds the key for you, whether or not your plan is active.
